Swiss Excursion Part 2: Exploring Mount Pilatus

Swiss Excursion Part 2: Exploring Mount Pilatus

On Day 2 of our Swiss adventure, we decided to head up to Mount Pilatus which is not too far from the city center of Lucerne. A few gondolas, cableways, and Pilatus Railway later we were met with a surreal feeling of being 7,000 feet atop a mountain in the Swiss Alps. I must say, seeing the view in real life was nothing short of breathtaking. Neverending rows of snow-capped mountains plus stunning panoramic views of Lake Lucerne made for an unforgettable experience.

Things to Do:

Take in the epic view from multiple vantage points. Lots of picture taking to be had!

Once there, hike up to  Fräkmüntegg and go on a Toboggan (Luge) run. You’ll be in for a good thrill, plus you have amazing panoramic views of the mountains as you cruise down the makeshift slope.

Make sure to take the cable car from Kriens so you can relax and soak in all of the sights around you.
